Field Log Book

FIELD LOG is a curated chronicle of Latin American artisans—a reimagined directory where craft meets contemporary design. This edition explores eight—talleres—workshops across Perú and Colombia, where tradition is not preserved but evolved—woven, stitched, and sculpted into the present. Annick Maria and Pedro Pablo spent a year getting to know and documenting artisans working in leather, alpaca, crochet, and more—preserving tradition while pushing the boundaries of their craft. More than sites of production, these talleres embody generational skill, cultural resilience, and pure artistry. This book is not just an archive; it is an invitation to immerse in craftsmanship as it exists today.

Our services: concept + strategy / brand identity / photography (digital + film) / art direction / editorial design / film production.

DEAR [READER]

CUZCO, PERÚ

DEAR [READER]

We are students—
building, creating, and shaping amid uncertainty.
Not in spite of it, but with it.
Uncertainty doesn't scare us -
It keeps us curious, present, and paying attention.
Imagine this:
There's a thunderstorm—lightning cracking—
And you—you're in a room, watching the storm
But then, curious, you step outside.
And that's the difference.
Lightning doesn't strike those who sit still.
It finds the ones in motion—
who observe, who listen,
who move toward mystery.
Our work is guided by that same motion.
We chase ideas.
We embrace the what-ifs,
We honor instinct.
We do our fieldwork —
observing, archiving, logging in
all the information around us.
